How It Works? Quite Flawlessly Actually.

First Things First

Before we settle on anything, I would like to meet you! A local coffee shop is my go to place of meeting. I like to have an initial hour and a half consultation. I do this so I can get a feel for what you are looking for. I will most likely go through my Pinterest page with you so you can point out what kind of pictures you like; city landscape, open field, soft light, river in the background, etc. I'm not a total fan of "wingin' it". I like to go into the shoot knowing exactly what you are wanting, and the poses that will work well for you and your family. Of course, your shoot won't be completely structured but it is nice to have foundational pictures to run with and go off of. We will go through clothing options and what will be best for your specific shoot, how the shoot itself will go, what you should expect on your photo day, what I expect from you on the photo day, pricing, signing of agreements and then settling on dates! It's a totally innovative, creative and fun process - completely free of charge.

Your Session

Your session is customized to you and your wants. All sessions are 2 hours (sometimes less, sometimes more). I like to plan for this amount of time and ask that you do too. Life isn't perfect so I know your shoot won't be either! We might have to deal with a hungry baby who doesn't want to pose, a family member that gets a stain on their shirt and needs to make a quick change, an unexpected rain cloud, or even a bloody nose (it's happened before). 2 hours gives enough time for pictures and for any of those little mishaps that are bound to happen.
However, we might not be able to get everything done within 2 hours - maybe we have multiple locations to go to, friends that want to join your senior session later, or grandma and grandpa coming in late. We will discuss this during our consultation so when the shoot comes around, we know how long it will likely take. For the sake of your sanity and mine though, plan on 2 hours!

Pricing

Pricing is based off of several things: the session fee (my time and time spent on editing all the pictures), formatting and processing, and the USB drive I give you with your edited photos on it. Pricing is different for every type of shoot may it be family, senior portraits, or kiddos and newborns. This is why I ask that you set up a consultation with me first so I can give you a fair and true price based on your needs and wants.

The Finished Product

For all my sessions, I offer you the opportunity to purchase the photos through me straight from a local printer. These would be for prints that you would like to have on canvases or blown up to poster size for those larger walls. If you would like this option, we will go over the different packages during your consultation.
I also offer you the option of a custom USB drive with all the edited photos on it with all of my rights. This will allow you to print them where you want, in the sizes you want, and in how ever many copies you want. This option will be more expensive - please know this ahead of time.
